Been looking for so long for something, anything that would help the consumer protect our privacy sanity and our investment i.e. telephone number from solicitors and people who prey upon us use and violate our phone number without our permission. It infuriates me. I understand a wrong number, However I take offense to late night telephone calls, interrupted meals with my family and rude people who actually hang up in your face when you asked who you were speaking with. They act like you are being unreasonable for trying to find out who this person is who has invaded your privacy by using your phone number without your permission. Does anyone else have a problem with this. And all the blogs I have read I do not see anyone else is vent or feel violated like I do and I have no means to follow up. Many times the calls are my boat unknown call wife and I am unable to block that call or find out The person or agency trying to reach me. I'll pay for the phone line in that phone number. Why can't they interrupt me at their leisure yet I can't even respond? This app is the first app that has allowed me the portal to view the caller. It does what it says it's can do and it does it pretty darn well. Thank you.

First, the people who have stated that it does not block phone calls are correct. Apple does not allow access to the phone to that degree. So how can this help you, you may ask? It is easy, go into contacts, find “Identified as Spam” and edit the settings for that contact. Set the vibrate to none and then you will have to find a ring tone that is silent. They are all over the internet, DO NOT PAY FOR ONE. You can look to find how easy it is to make a Ringtone using iTunes and then set the silent ringtone to the contact Identified as Spam. Now when a number calls you that is listed in TrueCaller, it won’t ring or vibrate. You will only know they called when you are looking at your call history or notifications. This is a great app.

This app mainly adds known (reported by users) spammer numbers to your address book, so when you get a call from a known spammer, you see a big red "spammer" caller ID picture. It also provides a very easy way to check numbers and report spammers/scammers. The problem is that this information is largely based on people reporting spammers and then getting them updated as contacts on your phone. As spammers constantly change their phone numbers, it gets difficult to stay ahead of them. I thought that it would be a problem with adding over 800 phone numbers to my address book, but they are all under one contact and there doesn't seem to be an impact to my phone.
