Although a good app in principle, there are several recurring issues I’ve had. 1) Login: the app consistently wont allow me to log in, save a password or send me an email link to reset the password. 2) Usage graph: My usage graph inexplicably starts at 1900 and there’s no way to bring it forward to 2020. I therefore can’t see the data for my usage.
All started well when using this app. Not always accurate, but near enough to ascertain roughly where the oil level is. That was until recently.......Now, according to the app we have -1% oil in the tank and the year is 1905!!! I didn’t think they’d have Wi-Fi and smart monitors then, but what do I know?? No worries I thought, I’ll just notify the developer and they’ll hopefully have a quick resolution??? That’ll be a no then, just error 404 on the webpage. What’s most annoying is I pay CERTAS £5.00 a month for this useless bit of kit. Not impressed!!
Day One. Managed to successfully follow the instructions and get set up. It didn’t retain the tank name I gave it (this could be something I did wrong), but I can’t see how to add that after initial set-up. The device itself is a small plug-in transmitter / receiver that speaks to the tank transmitter / level recorder via a radio link (up to 200m range, apparently) and also connects to your WiFi network. Seems to be a well thought-through product. Once it has more than one day’s data it will predict when the tank will run out, which is useful. Easier to set up than Hive. UPDATE: For some reason, the settings menu won’t let me set a Sudden Drop alert. When I save that setting as YES it just reverts to NO. Not sure what that’s about.
