I like how I can get the full connection I pay for in my hotspot service but I would really appreciate if the developer could add a shortcut to toggle the connection off and on instead of having to go into the app, this way I can automate the connection at certain times or ask Siri it to turn it on without wasting time to open the app. Overall though this is a really great 👍
This app has been a great alternative to tweaks like tether me and apps like pdanet but sadly it needs an update. About a year ago I only had minor bugs such as randomly disconnecting, but that was very rare. Now I can’t have my host device paired with any clients for more than 3 minutes before they disconnect. Something is either getting flagged by isp and the pair vpn team needs to fix it 🙏 (I will pay a premium for an app that is as good as tether me once was)
A few days ago, I checked into a hotel in Washington DC, which grudgingly throttled the Wi-Fi to 3mbps, too slow to even stream HD content. However, I was able to get 700mbps on my T-Mobile 5G in the room, but my plan limited my high-speed hotspot data to 40GB. Not anymore. With PairVPN on my iPhone and Mac, I’m able to bypass that limit and get near gigabit 5G-powered internet for my Mac anywhere, including in a hotel that has notoriously slow Wi-Fi! Switching to my hotspot with PairVPN made a world of difference. I can now effortlessly stream 4K content, download large files, and more, and performance seems similar to my Fios Home Internet, all with no limits from T-Mobile.
