Get this app if your Spanish or Portuguese is serviceable. You will not regret it. Actually, my Portuguese is RUSTY, but I have no trouble following Lojong. I have several meditation apps, including two of the very biggest names. Lojong is by far the very best. A perfect blend of teaching, to give context, and meditation. And it’s very carefully thought out. The teachings and meditations build on each other. It doesn’t have the scattershot feeling that seems to be common in meditation apps. Also, I don’t know which Tibetan teacher or teachers the creators of the app studied with, but their training comes across as deep. Really, using this app feels like belonging to a sangha with a great teacher. I hope the app store features this more prominently in U.S. searches for meditation apps. Even though there is no English version, Spanish is so widely spoken in the U.S. It’s like this app is a treasure hiding in plain sight.

First, this is an outstanding meditation app. It’s beautifully constructed and the programs and meditations are great. I also love the breathing exercises and meditation timer features.
One note however, it appears there is a bug when it comes to the statistics section. Today I did a 10 minute meditation on the Cultivating Mindfullness course but when I finished it did not carry over onto my statistics and it says I have 0 minutes of meditation today. I’m sure this is a minor bug issue and can be fixed via an update. I just wanted to point that out.
That being said, this is still an amazing app and that doesn’t take away form it. 5 stars all the way.

I love the background bits of modern science and tried and true wisdom, as lead-ins to each meditation. There is a variety of meditations you are introduced to and the minimal animations are fun but not distracting. This is the first meditation that I have been able to commit to and feel that I’m actually doing something! I feel my mind shifting and I’ve been at it a couple months now :)
