Really like the app so far. It’s basic and easy to navigate. I do wish that for certain weekly targets like “lifting weights ” i could put not only the date but also the amount of time. So maybe just a comments box within the entry date would be nice. It would be helpful as i export data and look for trends to see if i have a comments associated with a positive or negative trend with opportunities to improve. And heck that may already be a function i just don’t see it so far. Otherwise. Liking it!
this really is an incredible app that tracks habits, significant days, etc with a gorgeous UI and awesome customization. i really wish there was an option between the free version (limit of 3 entries) vs the subscription, as i would gladly pay for the app but personally really don’t like subscriptions. like maybe a one time purchase that gives you access to 5-10 more entries or some of the stats? anyways still a great app overall :)
The concept is good. Adding categories is easy. However, when using the app to instill a habit, it offers frequent “trophies” for having gone even a day without doing the activity. There doesn’t appear to be a way to shut this feature off. I have to “accept” these meaningless trophies so I can update or review the category. This is the exact opposite someone would want for an activity they are trying to increase in frequency (being “rewarded” for missed days in a motivator category). The only way around it is to use the single swipe reset. Doing this prevents the user from seeing the dates before resetting. For example, if I see it has been two days since I worked out my chest, to avoid accepting a trophy for that, I could single swipe reset and only then find out from the stats that I worked out my chest 4 times in the past two weeks. Meaning it’s too early to repeat the activity. Same goes for other things that you are trying to increase in frequency but not necessarily turn into daily chores. Using the single swipe feature to avoid the extra step of accepting the trophies prematurely resets the date if you simply just wanted to review the dates in the category but not necessarily perform the behavior. It also adds the extra steps of manually setting the correct new date. Manually setting the date means not being tethered to your phone and having the freedom to enter data at a more convenient time. So being able to do that by going straight to the dates without accepting a trophy would be optimal, most efficient, and accurate. The motivator function must absolutely have a way of turning off the trophies in order for it to make any sense. Change this please. I found the feature to turn off the trophies. It’s still awkward to do that for the motivator category. I agree “off” should be the default for this category. I’ll go to 4 stars until this error is remedied. Thanks.
