Starry Whiskers: Cats Atelier

I’ve just started playing and the story is so cute and sad, I love it already. I haven’t gotten to any of the really tough stages though, so let’s see if my love lasts forever. Lol. So I’ve gotten the attic done and now I’m having trouble with some of the other levels, I still really love the game though so I’m going to keep it. Argh I am not so great at the game but still fun. Update: they changed the name from days of Van meowoh to cats atelier, no idea, why but I still love it! Still absolutely love this game, can’t wait to see the anime! Update: still love this game! The cosplay feature is just the cutest! Update: The only downside I can see so far is the new heart system. I miss being able to give everyone a heart everyday. Update: several years later and this game is still too cute for words! Update: 2023 still wonderfully adorable Update: 2024, still the cutest Update: 2026, I miss the events and English translations

This is currently one of my favorite games I have on my phone. I’ve always enjoyed puzzle games, but I often get bored with them because of the way you progress through levels: they all start out very easy and eventually get impossible to beat, and there’s nothing else to the game beside the puzzles, so I lose interest. This game, however, does a lot of things I like. It has progressively more challenging puzzles, and even more challenging “hard” puzzles scattered throughout. It has a heart system that only makes you lose hearts if you lose a level, but you can always request another heart from a friend or wait the 25 minutes for your heart to reload. All of the in-game currency is earned through playing puzzles and finishing paintings, so you don’t need to make in-app purchases to have a good time. But my favorite part is the story. I love seeing what Van Meowogh gets up to with his new acquaintances in the absolutely adorable art style this game has. So, if that was too long and you didn’t read it all, this game... *is challenging without being impossible *uses hearts in a logical way *has a friends feature (and your friends can send you hearts) *doesn’t require in-app purchases to have a good experience *has a cute story in a beautiful art style Cats Atelier is a great game. It’s one of my favorite games to play when I’m extra anxious because it’s sweet relaxing, but it’s also fun to play all the time. All in all, I really recommend this game for people of all ages.

What a nice change of pace on the mobile games market. The life of Van Meowgh is a charming game that has a lot of love in it. The characters are all very silly in their own ways, but never too far that the game loses its heart. Theres a lot of nostalgic feelings throughout both the characters lives and through my own playing of it. It takes me back to the days when people made games for the sake of making the game, not the profit. It may get more cash grabby later on i'm not sure, but I have already reached into the 70s all on my own merit and stradgey. It's honestly refreshing to be able to succeed at a well designed game instead of having to pay to win. The payouts are all very fair and I don't feel the need to buy powerups like some *other* games.(coughscapescough) Overall with the storybook like art style, compelling and sweet story, and genune playablity, I'm ABSOLUTELY in love 💙!
