Learn Turkish Language

Installed and did one lesson, then abandoned the app. They immediately push you to pay for a membership before even using the thing. The “lesson” gives you just 5 minutes of practice a day. The lesson shows the english translation exactly once and then you can’t get it to display again. The foreign word is spoken exactly once, and you can’t repeat it. Finally, I felt like instead of learning a language, I was memorizing arbitrary icon & word pairs, which is entirely useless. For their subscription price, I would much rather spend a tiny bit more and get unlimited access to all languages in Pimsleur.

Love this App, my Mother is Turkish, and I grew up in a Turkish speaking household. Alot of my customers are Turkish speaking as well. I wish I took it much more seriously because I love my language, and this App is extremely helpful easy to use and navigate! Using this to help strengthen my language skills!

This is sooo amazing, wish I had this as a kid. So easy to learn the words this way to a completely foreign language. The only thing that needs to improve on this App, is when you go over the list of words you have learned, you should be able to click on the word to HEAR the annunciation of the word again to review it, whenever you want. In this list it only shows the spelling. Which doesn’t help much if I can’t hear the correct pronunciation when I want to. The point is to “learn” it. So we can speak it. If I have to wait to catch and hear that particular word again in a lesson it could be a very long time because I already heard all the words in that lesson. Other then that I am learning Turkish very fast. Many words that start with S, actually have a T sound to start the word off when you say it. I really need to be able to just click the word to hear how it is said. I bought the full unlimited version and plan on learning other languages too. So I hope this can be a feature very soon.
