App is just OK. It has only a bare minimum of features, it’s buggy, and it’s very, very, veeeeeerrrrrryyyy slow. At least half the time I try to use it to answer the door it won’t respond, or it takes so long that the person at the door rings again, or it throws an error. It’s so bad that if I’m home I just don’t bother with it, even if I’m outside and I’m a ways away from one of the wall-mounted hardware screens. Then there’s the problem of random logouts that, of course, aren’t apparent until you go to use the app. It’s definitely something that I can’t recommend, and at some point I’ll consider replacing the entire thing even though it means I’ll have to get new hardware.

This app and system are great for never missing a delivery. And it means I don’t carry a key for my external door (though I keep one in a lockbox for backup). It is reliable. In three months, I haven’t missed any delivery and have never had to use the backup key. You also don’t have to rush over to your unit every time the doorbell rings, as long as your phone is nearby. Its also possible to give guests access if they have the app. And it can even be handy to check the camera now and then. Knocked off one star for lack of Siri or Apple Watch integration. Either one would make arriving at home with arms full much easier. Update: Taking another star off for providing a new app that lacks backward compatibility, and still no HomeKit, Siri Shortcuts or even Matter compatibility. The app does still perform reliably and has been updated to maintain its launch features.

The app has been out for so long, and the fact that we are talking about artificial intelligence and this app is not even able to create a shortcut to open your main screen without having to load the Door Entry App is disappointing. When you see the forums, you hear all the promises that this companies do so you buy their product but at the end of the day, they don’t deliver what they promise. Pure sales speech. Do something good for your customers and make this HomeKit or Google Home available, or create shortcuts that your users or customers can benefit from. The App also takes a lot of time to react and connect to the device.
