I personally really enjoyed both levels! Yes it’s inconvenient to have to restart when you get kicked out but not a big deal. With that said, the constant ads are frustrating and deter from the experience. Also.... I wish there were more than 2 levels. I see have written the same from a while back which leads me to believe more may not be on the way, but overall I liked it!
I think that if you want this game to have any real success that you need to add a lot more levels and make it easier to get coins and more stuff to tap to try and help you finish a level and don’t make people pay for the second level wait till they get to five levels and then ask them to pay for the next level. P.s. the first level should be easier than it is.
TL;DR: This game has a clunky UI, purchases that take away all of the challenge. I can’t believe it’s the 14 installment, and I would rate it even lower if I could. I am a huge fan of escape games, and I pride myself in being very good at them. However, this game is deceivingly difficult without the walkthrough or hints. And when you buy the walkthrough, it takes all of the challenge right out of the game by giving you the answer in pictures. That’s just the first issue with the game itself: You can’t switch items around in the hub, and the ones that are used don’t disappear, making certain puzzles incredibly challenging. (Looking at you, box puzzle.) Along with that, you can try to click an object, and end up hitting an ad (somehow) or an object from the inventory. It’s infuriating, and can force you to redo puzzles. Another note I’d like to make is the app is called “prison escape” when it is clearly not a prison. The theme is confusing, and simply changing the name would have helped. Also, there is absolutely no way to turn off the music. But these are not my biggest issues. The ads and payments I can understand. It’s expensive to make a game. But, I believe it would have been so much better if, instead of charging $1.99 for a walkthrough, the developer used ads to unlock hints that ease the challenge. I know this review is bitting, but I cannot go easy on a game that’s the 14th INSTALLMENT. (I ended up buying the walkthrough and the no ads, By the way.)
You woke up in the room, came out of the noisy footsteps, what happened? You have to hurry out of this room to find out. * Exquisite picture * Clever...
