Basketball Scorebook + Stats

Update: they have fixed the quarter issue in NFHS rules. Old Review: Good app. It work well and is easy to understand. But …. In NFHS, it will not let you keep foul totals to end of a half when using quarters. The only work around is to set periods to half. If you do that then it does not keep quarter information. It will not let you add a player to the roster in the middle of a game if a they were not on the original roster. It also won’t let you change a number if a player must change their uniform due to blood. It will not let you add delay of game warnings or other things the official wants you to record in the book.

This app is great, it keeps almost all of the stats I keep for my kids’ teams and there isn’t another app I have found that does that. However, it would be so much better if you could mark the starters and substitutions for the game. I like to keep track of time spent on the court (curiosity) and that would be helpful. It also would help with being able to mark the stats for a player if you aren’t having to sort through 15 players for the number of the steal/assist/score in 3 seconds of play! Honestly I use another app also that does this but doesn’t allow me to track possessions, time outs, or team fouls per half (if tracking individual fouls) and when having to choose to track time on the court vs the stats I can get here instead I would pick time on the court. This is why I keep stats on paper still!!

I’ve tried many different apps for doing basic stat tracking during basketball games. All apps thus far have incorporated way more features than I personally needed, making them too complex and confusing for me to use. This app is incredible. It’s user-friendly, efficient, and an amazing resources for players, parents, and coaches. The end-of-game stat sheet that is created can easily be sent to anyone through email, and the app saves all previous games so that players and coaches can watch their stats across the season. On top of everything, the customer service is exceptional when I have questions or concerns. I can’t recommend it enough!
