Reviews: What People Think About Math Balance Educational Games
Hotdog man.
Rating: 4/5
This game is pretty good. When I played this game , and when I got to level nine , it said I have to upgrade it. But it didn’t say how to upgrade it’s that’s a problem. The farther you go, the harder it gets. There is addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I only could get to addition and subtraction because I had to upgrade the game. So that’s the only thing that I think needs to change.

Hello, usually I do not write reviews for games but this horrible of a game I don’t even know what to do. So I thought is that I might as well write a review so I get an in to Math Balance think I’m gonna have a great time playing it. But then I literally just see you gray lines. I write my name thinking that’s how you sign in but then randomly it just disappears. I would give it zero stars but since you have to rate it. And I give it one stars and there’s no reason I give it one star because I can’t even sign into it. So Why would you think I have a reason to even give it one star. I do not know I have to update it or some thing but I thought I might as well make a review just in case there is a problem and you might be able to look at it to see if there are actually are any problems, but they do not have to do with my problem that I’m having. Thank you for your time and service.

Ok, I thought those reviews about you have to pay to go past level 9 weren’t true, but I get to level 9, and it tells me I have to pay 30 dollars to go past, what the heck, don’t you people know that most kids only have like 30 cents, I mean I have more beacouse I’m 13, but kids can’t pay on their own, and before you know it your kids will be begging you to pay for them, gosh, are you guys even thinking about these reviews, you can’t just tell kids “ hey kids go and tell your mommy and daddy to spend 30 dollars.”
Ok you need to fix this, it was good till level 9.
I’m learning 5th grade work, and I need to do multiplication.
About Math Balance Educational Games
Mental Math is fun with Math Balance - kids help Toby reach home by balancing bridges and while they have fun, they also learn about equality/comparison, gain flexibility with numbers and practice skills that are essential for understanding algebra.
This mental math game with 30 levels will help your child get necessary fluidity with numbers. Your child will learn things like addition can happen in any order for the same result, or that sum of different numbers can add up to be the same number. They will also end up having to use different number strategies, such as bridging and compensation which can significantly speed up their mental math computations.
These are the skills covered by Math Balance -
- Developing meaning of equal sign, using, greater than and less than sign
- Set up numbers in their expanded form
- Commutative property of addition and, later, using it and expanded form as a strategy to add ex: 67+25 = 60+7+20+5 = 80+12 =92
- Missing Addend strategies:x+b=c, where x is to be found, situations where difference is unknown, where there is a bigger unknown and where there is a smaller unknown -one step problems
- Showing that addition and subtraction are inverse; 4+5=9, 9-5=4
- Use only doubles, Use only even/odd numbers to get to a total
- 1 step word problems -Change unknown, Result unknown, Start unknown
- add a string of two-digit numbers (up to four numbers) by applying place value strategies and properties of operations.
Example: 43 + 34 + 57 + 24 = __
- Using concrete models to show addition and subtraction
- Mentally add 10 or 100 to a given number 100–900, and mentally subtract 10 or 100 from a given number 100–900
- Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction
- Multiplication as repeated addition
For those who follow the Core curriculum, this maps to the following core standards - 2.OA.B.2, 2.NBT.4, 2.OA.2, 1.OA.6, 2.OA.C.3, 2.OA.1, 2.NBT.6, 2.NBT.7, 2.NBT.8, 3.NBT.2.
