Reviews: What People Think About Swipeable Panorama

First of all, this app is such a great idea. In theory it would make the process of posting a panorama or landscape photo very simple without using the aid of photoshop. Unfortunately this is only in theory though. Here are the major cons and there are way too many for what should be such a simple app. 1. The user has no control over how their image is cropped. It decides automatically what parts of the photos it wants to keep in discarding whole sections if it deems fit. 2. You are only able to crop in squares, this would have been fine in 2014 but now Instagram allows you to post 4x5 photos so it completely defeated the purpose unless you’re trying to make your whole feed one photo. 3. You are only allowed to crop and post directly from the app. It does not save to your personal photos once your image has been (terribly) cropped. 4. If you decide that these things above are totally fine and you do decide to continue to the posting stages your photo will have a “Swipeable” watermark for everyone to see on your post. To give them credit they do give you the option to take the water mark off but if you do so “only a percentage of your following will see the whole panorama” (lol). This is all so frustrating to me because this app could be so helpful and useful, especially in the photography community. It’s honestly impressive how bad they botched such a simple concept.

I like this app. It doesn’t offer customization on how a panorama photo is sliced, so if you need that kind of ability look towards a pro photo editing app. However, I think this app’s capability will satisfy most casual users. This app can put a watermark on the first photo in the outputted series (or change the first photo into a video), but that’s optional and you can easily turn it off. The only thing I found annoying with the app is that when you output series of photos, it adds a title photo and a end photo every time. You don’t have to select and import those photos into Instagram, but it does clutter up the photo album. I wish this is a feature that can be turned off. Overall I think I am getting a lot out of this free app. So, kudos.

Works great I read a tutorial on slicing your own photos and it referenced this app if you didn’t mind deleting a couple frames and removing the watermark. Both are no brainers and way easier than editing your own photos. Takes just a few seconds to adjust and slide then post. Photos don’t have to be panoramic to slice up either. A+
