Tap Tap Reborn 2: Rhythm Game

I’m sure the developers only care about 5 star reviews so I’ll write my THREE STAR review here... I was a huge fan of the Tap Tap Revenge game years ago so you can imagine my excitement when I found a new Tap Tap on the App Store a couple days ago. That anticipation and excitement was replaced by frustration and dissappointment because of how many glitches I ran into immediately after downloading. If you’re playing while on a call, it will hang up every time the song loads. Sometimes the songs don’t load at all and you have to keep retrying until it finally plays. Then at times when it finally does load, the game starts with no music forcing you to restart all over again. Along with a bunch of other bugs, this game is 5/10. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE.

I really miss Tap Tap Revenge, that game was my childhood. I like the app I really do, the one thing I really miss about Tap Tap Revenge are the different style of themes that you play on as you go through different songs. Like in this app there are 3 theme and those are permanent themes. If the app had different style of themes for each song, it would make the app more enjoyable. From my prospective different theme for each song gives a song its own personality and I think that’s why I’m down about the app. The themes the game has are really boring and don’t bring out much excitement. Not only that I really dislike the fact how WE have to connect to the internet to play our favorite songs we know and love today. I do like seeing the video as we play through our songs that’s something I like about the app. Even though this app isn’t like Tap Tap it’s still a really enjoyable app. There are a lot of songs but I honestly think they should put in different kinds of genres. I understand the fact that you have to buy songs but I think there should be different genres with decent songs that are free and good songs that should be pay for to keep us entertained and enjoy the app a lot more. I hope to see what kinds of changes this app will make in the future!

So there are several reason I am unable to give this app a 5 star review, the main reason being that there is no offline mode like the older tap tap games had. Phones these days have so much more space that storing the song files through the app should be no problem. Also there is a music video that plays with each song. I personally don't mind, although I have seen others complaining about this, but there has to be a better way for these guys to have it set up so that this isn't a required feature. Lastly, even when I have a high speed internet connection it seems like half of the time or more I can either not load into the game through the first screen, or I am unable to load the song I want to play. It takes me several tries, even on the newer update, to get a song to pull up. That all being said I will love this game series until the day I die, before the servers were shut down I had one of the top scores globally and hope that with the new leaderboard system that I can get there as the game improves.
