If you're looking for a full MMORPG experience that you can play on your phone, then check this game out. I didn't think I would like it due to the camera angle view, but I was wrong. It's very fun and even with the camera view, the way they designed the world (with it's depth and 3D objects) I still get lost in immersion while playing it. There are tons of weapons in this game and each weapon has it's own distinct feel, making the combat unique and fun.
To give a plot line here- I started the game with really no expectations other than disappointment at the 5 hour mark- landed in, got a guild, and the guild mates started taking me around to all of the content that was enjoyable and group focused- even giving me a million silver (multiple times because I lost all my gear in black zones several times). Soon enough within a couple days I was running solo bz content and group content. It really gave me the same adrenaline rush as the old swg and eq1 days when I would die and lose all of my Equipment or I would make out with a bunch of silver. My third day in the game I setup a group to go to a bz, we really were a bunch of noobs going into a t6.1 bz, not knowing really what we are up to. Until, we randomly chose a solo dungeon, and low and behold there was a player inside who got trapped as soon as we entered. We chased him down, not doing too much damage until finally he collapsed. Opening up his body, 5 million plus a rare mount. It was one of the most memorable moments in all of my time playing mmoโs, to be a beginner and find such a bounty and still have to exit the dungeon and find our way through two black zones to get home and split the rewards. I highly recommend downloading Albion and playing the group content and finding your way into bzโs or mist asap. Iโm a beginner but Iโm hooked.
The game is as advertised: free-roam adventure where you can focus on whatever you wanna do. For new players, I definitely recommend taking advantage of the three free days of premium you get for finishing the tutorial. The best part about it is getting learning points to quickly master some skill sets, giving you access to a wide range of gameplay mechanics. And rushing to Tier 3 equipment allows for a lot more interesting build diversity early on.
Great RPG game, definitely not just hack'n'slash, it has quests and immersion. One of the best RPG mobile games I've found. A few items to notate - at beginning, I am to choose one of two enchantments for my sword, but there is no indication what either enchantment actually does. At first, you spend a lot of time crafting and leveling up your gear, and eventually can craft bows, staffs, spells, armor, etc. to adjust your class choice. You begin with sword & shield, but can switch weapons later.
I found Albion online off of adds, and somehow ended up downloading it. But itโs the type of game I have been looking for for awhile now. I only recently started playing, but it has the right skill level, where things arenโt too easy right off the bat and you canโt kill anything with one hit (which Iโm assuming will change with upgrades), but itโs not necessarily too difficult either, and I havenโt needed to worry about dying, since there isnโt many penaltyโs unless your in certain areas. I like that the game doesnโt have any sort of class system, so I donโt need to worry about picking a good class, and if I get bored I can always change my mind later. Because there isnโt any main storyline, I donโt need to worry about blocked off areas or finishing a quest that I find boring and slow. I admit that the market system was a bit confusing at first, but then I realized that the market is just massive, so you need to know what type of thing you are looking for before you search (at least with the public market, shops are easy to navigate.) I highly suggest downloading Albion online if you want a non-restricted rpg experience, where you donโt need to fight if you donโt want to, can work towards any goal with as much content as adventuring has, or are like me, and like the small details like walking slower if you carry too much (which can be helped with fairly easily attainable mounts).
I love how there are so many different classes and areas you can go down that are low risk and you can still progress in the game. Of course doing the higher risk higher reward(black zones) is great but you have the chance of losing everything. However you donโt need to do it to progress. On top of that you can play so many different sets and I love how the tier system works allowing you to run the same set just lower tier and slowly upgrade it into 4.1 into rebuying a 6.0 then upgrades to a 6.2 for instance all the way up to 8.4 which in my opinion is great for practicing the set before you play it in black and red zones. You also have hellgates which are so much fun along with corrupted dungeons both can be lethal and non lethal which is a great idea letting the person choose if they are willing risk what they have to maybe get something better or something more. Then you have things like normal dungeons and group dungeons that you both can do with a group solo dungeons being able to solo but can be fun to run with a friend. You also have arena which is another thing that is just great for pvp practice in larger groups without the worry of losing your items as long as you do non lethal.
