I have been using another app to send money to Korea, but it would insert unbeknownst limit (per “partnering bank”) or would delay payment to my sister even though money had been withdrawn from my bank account for days. I had to get another app to send money to my sister, who couldn’t wait for the delay. She heard of WireBarley so I used it. The limits are clear. They initially asked for verification of my bank account and information about my recipient but after that, the transmission of payment was easy and quick. Though they would give estimated delivery date of two business days, the delivery all occurred within minutes. I plan to use WireBarley from now on.

I've used many different types of wire transfer apps over the years and this by far is the best I've used. Only h**p*** has slightly lower rates but was sooooo slow and buggy I thought it had lost my money (since WU claimed it was sent days ago), but it took over a week to show .. the wirebarley ACH transfers show up as pending in my bank account in 1-2 days! The only real annoyance I've experienced is the referrals don't work robustly. I've recommended wire barley and they'd download the app via my link, but even after they've used it I would never be credited, I filed reports before about this and they'd say something must've gone wrong on my end since no records of the referral show up (clearly not the case!)

I am an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea and I often send money back to the USA. I don’t need to money to post in my bank account immediately, so I don’t mind that WireBarley can sometimes take a few days to clear. I have made over 5 transactions so far ranging from USD $1,000-$3,000 and they have all posted to my US bank account within 2-4 days. You can’t argue with the fee (so small that it is of not consequence!) and the exchange rate is definitely better than doing it directly between the banks. The first transaction takes some effort as does adding new people to remit to, but subsequent transfers are super easy after a receiving account/person has been verified. Overall, I highly recommend this app.
