All Birds Trinidad and Tobago

I’d used Merlin, but this take it to the next level!

I have been using this app since 2017 over three visits to Trinidad. I especially like the songs and Calls provided in the app along with a long description of habits and habitat. Merlin is not that detailed about the birds here. I love the images of birds as well. Highly recommend this as a go to field guide since the book can be difficult to take on hikes etc.

It’s great to be able to take a field guide on a tropical birding trip - and not have to carry a huge book! Plus, books don’t make bird calls. This is a pretty complete guide, with plates, sounds, and maps. Looks like you can also save locations of specific sightings on a map, but I haven’t had a chance to test it out. Plates have a reasonable number of different plumages (immature, females, non-breeding); the hawk plates have both perched and soaring. Text on identification is extensive, but basic for things like habitat and habits. Gotta have this guide to bird in T&T - well worth the money.
