I read through the bad reviews and perhaps they just don’t understand how markets work. Rally does an initial “IPO” in which retail investors can choose whether that price is worth it. After that , Rally is simply the market that sets buyers willing to buy at a certain price against sellers willing to sell at a certain price. If they match, boom - a deal is made. It’s not like Rally is stealing your money people! Granted, there are only so many users on this app so it’s not a very liquid market - so just realize these alt investments are truly longer term investments. I like the recent addition of “comps” - would like to see more items be sold at auction especially if the comps seem to suggest the market value would generate high returns vs the IPO price and current investors. All in all - great opportunity for investing but don’t expect to make quick dollars as that’s not what this app is about.
New perspective. Complete manipulation. If you want to invest on a hot item, it sells out in 3 minutes while slinging blockades. On the flip side, if you want to invest on a hot item, it limits you to two shares. There is no way to make any meaningful progress, it is designed to squeeze out all opportunity of making a good investment. I will now sell out and be done with being manipulated. Pass these guys up, it is a net loss. These guys are not running an honest game. You can not squeeze both ends and claim fair trade.
So this app is for investing in items that the avg person would not normally be able to own. You can invest in items rich people do like classic cars, art, high end jewelry etc. HOWEVER you can’t just buy shares and then sell. If that’s what your looking for stick to Robinhood. This app lets you invest in higher end items and then you have to sell during trading windows after an item is completely funded, which takes months. But when you actually get your money back from when that item sells you make double or triple the amount you originally invested. It just takes more time. So if you like long term investments and doubling you’re money this is for you. If you wanna make a quick buck, don’t waste you’re time. Love the app personally!! Only thing I would say is make trading windows longer and more frequent. And maybe adding more items more frequently as well.
