From a Longevity and technology nerd.
When I say I’ve tried all the apps, I really really have. From Humanity and Welltory and so many others to now Gyroscope!
The coaching, food grading, summarization, and ability to define the type of coaching all make this app stand out as the best. The interface and timing of coach interactions are fantastic! The food grading and descriptions, calorie/macros ranges all follow the science and the psychology of change and motivation, making it a trustworthy companion on a quest for health! I really love the suggestions on how to improve the grade for a meal! It takes the guess work out of the process!!
This has become my go to app daily! I’m managing my autoimmune disorders, losing weight, and sticking to my health habits for the first time in a long time!! When I had an issue with the app the other day I got a quick response from support that solved my problem right away!
Well worth the subscription costs!!

I’ve been on and off with this app for a few years now. I like detailed metrics that it accumulates. Coming back to the app after about a year I find the App to be way too busy with information and not optimally placed. Frustrating when I can log a protein shake and the check for “daily protein” doesn’t check (doesn’t with food either). I have a problem with it not logging meditation even with using the built in meditation app. By far the most annoying part of the app is the developers didn’t account for people who work night shift. Everything is tailored to someone who works during normal working hours with no way to adjust when you are awake and not. The latest bedtime is 2am yet I don’t get off work until 8am. If you want to set a caffeine timer you can’t working night shift because they only account for regular working hours. This app has the potential to be a the best whole suite of health metrics but with it not being tailored to everyone and it costing $40/month or $200+ a year it falls short.
The positives are the food scanner is too notch way better than competitors. The look of the UI is nice although it’s getting too busy. Connects with Apple health and Withings which is a massive plus in my book.

I use Gyroscope every day, and in the past year, it’s helped me reset my health, lose 10lbs, and create a consistent workout routine. I feel better and more in control of my health than I did when I was 10 years younger. The insights I get are priceless. With a glance I can tell what I’m excelling at, and what I need to work on. I track my food, fasting, mood, meditation, exercise, travel, sleep, productivity and more using only my phone, Apple Watch and a wifi scale. It’s more than worth the subscription fee and will save me tens of thousands in medical bills as I get older.

Subscribe and pay through your iTunes account. Monthly subscriptions automatically renew monthly through your iTunes account. Auto-renew may be turned off in your iTunes Account Settings after purchase. Cancellation of the current active subscription period is not allowed. When you cancel the auto-renewal, access to the app features will expire at the end of the current payment period, and remaining trial is forfeit. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before end of current period. Account renewal will be charged within 24-hours prior to end of current period.
