I really do like this app. It has man things that I enjoy, but there are two things that are not fully understandable to me(which I will admit now might just be user error. 1. The search for word or phrases is lacking a bit. If I’m searching for a phrase that I don’t know word for word accurately, the app will not bring up that particular verse to help me. Also there are two sides to search from and I’m not quite sure why that is. Both search options bring up verses, with one not requiring accuracy, but still lacks in finding the exact verse I’m looking for. I find myself often just searching the verse on google to find it. Once again it might just be me. 2. I’m not sure how to use the “Strongs” section on the app. I can click on it, but unless I know the “Strongs” codex for every word, then it becomes nonessential. Again this could just be me. Things that seem good, but I haven’t explored fully is the rewards section and truth time. Does truth time allow me to look back at the past to see how I reacted in the past to different things? The part I really enjoy is seeing where I spend most of my time. It allows me to see where my heart is set in the word of God. The only down fall with this is that the section is small and I end up lifting my laptop to my face to see some of the smaller bible sections I spent time in. It would be nice to have it so I can click it and see what books and what chapters I view the most. Other than that I still use the app daily. Most of these other things that don’t function the way I want have work arounds. Still a solid bible app and I would recommend to anyone.
Hi! I puchased the BIL app a few months ago. When first using it, I almost removed it due to it’s complexity. - Now that I have had some time to look at all the features, some I like, some I do not. Here are my pros and cons for use on a MacBook Pro (retina, Mid 2015; macOS Monterey 12.0.1:Pros: - Great price ($4.49/year)- Enjoying the column style and choice of colors- Like the TripleView side-by-sideCons: - Do not like having every numbered verse starting on a new line. It makes it disjunct and hampers sentence continuity. - The numbers style of the verses are very distracting to me. The numbers are too large and, followed by a period, it really shoots big holes in my flow of reading. They are distracting and inturrupting my study.- Maybe I haven’t found it, yet, but there should be a simple “how to use this study tool” reference to a video or quick read. It would be really nice if the video or the reading would be indexed to find what you need to know about use without a lot of work to find it—after you spent time trying to first figure out what you are seein on the app.- The choices of bible translations are great, but when I click on “All” bible, I do not need to see all in the languages of the entire earth. Can you limit it to choice of language to make it easier and faster?- The choices of fonts change to much in the total appearance when you select one to try. The font with all its prior set size resetws and appearances change with it.Thanks for reading this from me. Hope it was as simple to understand as I asking you to make your bible app!
I really like this app. I have a lot of Bible study tools and have tried about every app on the market. This stands out with some very unique features. It isn't your typical zillion commentary an features app -- it is focused on READING the Bible! Which really is really the bottom line. I have found the rainbow colors assigned to the verses helps me to meditate verse by verse. The large number of versions (like the OLD version of the Amplified version, and the 1984 NIV are not availabe on many bible apps, or some even charge $20 for these. All free here. I have signed up for the very reasonable $4 a year plan -- just to help the developer. Might as well for $4. The software is still developing and can use some tweaks -- but I like that it has a menu bar access -- very nice.
