I’ve now tried several different times to order through this app, only once with any success. The problems are with click and collect - they won’t allow you to place an order for collection and pay cash when you collect it; a pretty major problem if there’s a group of you who have all handed over cash to one person to go and get food! In fact the only way you can order is by paying when you order, so if you don’t trust them with your precious card details, go somewhere else as they’re not interested. And last but definitely not least, Wednesday’s 20% off. Forget it. I think it’s just a scam. I’ve tried three different times to take advantage of this offer but it doesn’t work, it just says I’ve changed my order and it’s no longer eligible. This is really taking the mickey as I can’t even place an order, let alone change it!! And to cap it all - there’s no way to contact anyone for help; no in-app help, no phone number to ring, nothing. I think I’ll care about them as much as they care about me and just delete it and go elsewhere.
Under every meal option for example fish and chips, why not have fish and chips separate as well as a meal to save going into craft your own and trying to find something from a list that’s not in any order.
Use the new app for the first time to order from the brand new Churchill's in Chelmsford. Easy to use app, food ready to wrap when I arrived, even with 30 people queuing to order. Pleased to report although the app has brought Churchill's into the digital age, the food is still as excellent and traditional as always.
