Until start of December 2024, the app worked fine. But since then, it seems to have got worse, despite some information sent on the App Store download app page saying that updates were made recently. What sort of updates were they if it keeps on saying that there’s a problem with checking out after adding orders to basket. It switches between a message that „there is is a problem in the kitchen” to a point where it shows breakfast items, even after breakfast time has ended. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing improved. Tried updating my phone software. That didn’t help either. How is McDonald’s making money if they are losing customers as they can’t order via the app? They are more likely to be losing money at this point in time. I’d expect from the company to immediately take action and improve the app PROPERLY, so that it doesn’t keep on lagging and doesn’t say that a problem is occurring, EVERY TIME YOU TRY AND USE IT. Does McDonald’s want more customers or less? Seems like they want less customers, because some want to order from home for mcdelivery and gain/use points sometimes. Instead they have to spend more on the uber eats, just eat or Deliveroo app. You don’t gain/redeem points there.

Food delivered, missing two meals from it, phoned customer service spoke with Zain who said no refund would be issued, advised I didn’t want a refund wanted the missing food resending, he advised in their policy he would not be sending missing items or refund for missing items (two sausage and egg muffin meals) asked to speak to a manager, passed me through to manager who wouldn’t advise of his name, he advised it’s their policy to not send missing items out or refund, I advised I wish to make a formal complaint he said he would note of my feedback, I advised it’s not feedback I would like to make a complaint he advised I can’t complain it’s their policy, I asked him to please read me the policy wording where it states if order is sent incorrect no refund or items would be sent he told me there’s nothing he can read me it’s just their policy ! Absolutely shocking customer service no cares given or support! Will most definitely not be ordering from this app again customer service extremely rude and unprofessional, making the customer out to be lairs !

I have downloaded the McDonald’s app this morning and placed my 1st order (breakfast) for me, my partner (who’s in active labour) and my 6 year old daughter. The order arrived within about 20 minutes, which was great, but only half of the order was in the sealed bag. The full order was on the receipt stuck on the sealed bag. In receipt of half an order, I rang McDonald’s and explained the situation. The female staff member gave me a number to ring (Uber eats customer service) and said to give them the missing items, the order number and that they would deliver the missing items. I explained it was a McDonald’s issues and not delivery issue as the items had clearly not been put in the extremely large empty bag. So, I rang the number and the customer service advisor told me delivering the missing items isn’t an option and they can only refund the missing items. I then rang McDonald’s to put in a complaint and they would not accept liability and tried to tell me to complain through the Uber eats app . It was the McDonald’s app I used and it was clearly there mistake and they have sent me round in circles. It may not seem a big deal but my daughter is without her breakfast now and my partner is in labour at home so I can’t just nip to the shop to pick something up. The fact McDonald’s wouldn’t take liability or responsibility and didn’t even apologise, has disgusted me and put me off ever going there again. Do not download the app and order a delivery.
