Athan Utility

Hey this is app is amazing. Love using it, deleted all other ways I used to use to check prayer times. I did want to suggest some non-intrusive ways to monetize though. One, maybe put a donation link somewhere in settings. And another, maybe add different backgrounds/cosmetics/wallpapers/sounds that can be unlocked by watching ads. Things like that would keep the unobtrusive, ease of use factor but allow you to maybe generate some revenue from it. Of course, let people use the app without seeing these things if they simply open it and keep widgets available. Barakallahu feek akhi, thank you for the amazing app.

Elegant, as in well-designed: beautiful, functional and easy, without missing anything or adding anything unnecessary. It’s good with data privacy. Has an accompanying Apple Watch app and a widget for iPhone Home Screen. I’m new and I find this so helpful for tracking prayer times. It has enough recordings of call to prayer that I have a couple of favorites. It worked really well while jumping into observances during the month of Ramadan for the first time. Also, it can be set to update location. I used it during a cross country road trip across three time zones, which incidentally helped me reset my internal clock better (least amount of sleep lag I’ve ever suffered on that recurring trip, which was a nice side effect of minding prayer times). It’s been very grounding and even helps my time management… there are many benefits to keeping a prompt and consistent prayer schedule and this app has made it easy. I feel like I’ve been longing for this for a long time before I ever thought to investigate Islam. Free Palestine! 🇵🇸

As all the reviews say it, this one beats all athan apps easily. Do I need to say more? Feedback for the dev: - For Hanafi, add an options to have both ASR 1 and ASR 2 timings (because some people need to know when Dhuhr ends and it’s annoying to switch back and forth) - Make the sunrise time more realistic (because the sunrise time frame is short and should not extend all the way to the Dhuhr time. This is also needed so that we know when we can pray again after sunrise—since prayer is haram in this time frame) - For the Qibla pointer, add a red point as to where we need to point similar to other athan apps - Allow the option for the full athan to play when phone is locked - For the 15m time reminder, add an option to play a specific sound from a selection of different sounds—this is different from disabling “Play Sound” (because I get this notification often within a day and from the sound, I don’t if it’s from this app or another app. They all sound the same and drives me nuts)
