Can you please have options for VOLUME and for silent/vibration notifications when the alarms go off? Jesus Christ this is unbearable. Every time the PhOD sends an alarm the fricking phone goes off blaring. Knowing something happened is important but DOES IT HAVE TO BR SO ANNOYING?? You can't even change it to a sound of your picking. It's ridiculous. I haven't installed the sirens because I don't think I'd be able to deal with the horns going off. It's just senseless how little you can customize the alarm settings. For a system that climbs into the thousands with just a few cameras and sensors, it's freaking unacceptable. A full house system can easily hit $5,000. Even $10,000 for a decently sized home. There is no reason you can't adjust sound, volume, vibration and notifications to your liking. What is the development of the app going towards if it isn't something as basic as this???? PLEASE FIX THIS. OH MY GOD.
It works fine, but the company pushes an update what feels like every ten days or so. I can’t help but wonder how insecure this system is if there is a constant need for urgent updates.
Let me say first that I do like Ajax product for its reliability (battery and SIM card for hub), variety of sensors, ease of installation and price. However the apps for phone and especially watch are written with utter disregard for usability. Cryptic error messages, very small font, very bad icons (a circle with a small opening, grey on white - impossible to see on small screen or without reading glasses). No explanation what night mode is. Errors when one locks (or unlocks) twice. A font used is hard to read on My large Xr. Apple Watch app is most problematic. It seem to require a phone nearby. I often go outside with watch on my hand and my main phone at home, while I approach the door, my watch senses wifi from inside and my phone too, still, it blinks “Connecting..” message and cannot unlock. I had to resort to calling my girlfriend to unlock, or a remote control :) And the watch app does require “hard press” on screen, which is totally non-intuitive. Also, it does not confirm locking and unlocking action by distinct text or sound - only that “broken” circle. There are standard icons for On and Off status, or Locked/Unlocked. Why reinvent the wheel?
