Flexy - Contractor Payroll

Positives: great pay and shifts when they’re available, I’ve recommended the app to my friends who are now currently wait listed for interview. Issues 1) Historically on the home screen I’d see a number indicating how many available shifts there were to apply for. If I saw “0”, I’d know nothing available at the moment. Since the latest update, it says “click to see available shifts” ...no number. If the update was to improve Ux, why add an unnecessary new step which triggers constant checking of the app just in case the app notifications aren’t working properly, this can frustrating if you’ve had no reception for a little while, or in situations where you are instructed to keep your phone off /turn off notifications for a period. 2) I agree about it being buggy - it sporadically logs you out, even if the app has been open in the background. 3) holiday pay - another user (dated 24Jun The Hydrated Gojiberry), explained this better than I could.

I signed up recently with view to work with Flexy long term. I had quite a few issues with the app - it crashes most of the time I try to open, user experience is quite bad because of other glitches but I was seeing shifts being posted and I was approved for quite a few. However, barely any of the jobs I was approved for actually had any shifts posted. But most of all, the problem with this agency is that they don’t protect workers from late cancellations. Meaning that a Hirer can cancel your shift in very short notice and you won’t get paid or be able to find other work. The policy inhibits a culture of unreliability and is altogether unfair to workers as they are punished if cancelling a shift late. My first two shifts were cancelled last minute. For this reason I’ve decided to give up the agency. I would give them a chance again when the sort out their ways

I have been with Flexy since July 2018 and have found my perfect job with them. Sharon has helped and advised me every step from day one. I’m not always the best with technology but Sharon has called me and talked me through things and offered me a lot of support. She is a big asset to the flexy company. Working With flexy has made me take control of my career as the ease of submitting my time sheets is fantastic and knowing my wages will be correct if I need to do over time/adhoc is a big bonus. In the past I have had to wait along time for this pay to be put through the system. I would like to thank flexy for helping me find my perfect job and a massive thank you to Sharon for all her ongoing support. I know I can always call or email and someone is gonna be there to help.
