Many people don’t think an app is capable of making a difference in a community; this app proves that wrong. Made with the community in mind, this app helps users locate help at a moments notice. It lists important hotlines and emergency services. This app is truly what American should mean: helping those around you to create a better world.

I know maybe the intention for this app was to connect ppl to services in LA. But if possible pls expand to other parts in Southern CA. This will be amazing if I have clients based in LA or need to find emergency safety services father away from where they live. However, I think other parts of Southern Cali could use a resource like this. Otherwise, an amazing app, just wish other areas of nearer distance could use this.

This app is amazing in so many ways. It has a lot of different resources for helping people get rides, assistance, food, jobs and legal help. The community can really benefit from having something like this. Thank you!
About WIN: What I Need
WIN What I Need connects users to 12 categories of free resources. Available in English and Spanish, WIN is free, easy to use, and enables homeless, abused and resource-insecure youth, families, seniors and adults to find and connect to the supportive services they need to stabilize their lives.
Users can search for anything, from food pantries and homeless shelters, to free health services, educational resources and more. And this app is more than a directory- WIN sends users alerts about job fairs and other community events, enables them to offer feedback and connects users to live assistance hotlines through the “I Need Help Now” page.
WIN not only serves homeless, abused and struggling youth, families and adults, the WIN What I Need mobile app is also powerful referral tool for professional’s and others who encounter or serve individuals in need of immediate help or supportive services.
WIN is currently available in Los Angeles County, CA.
WITH WIN YOU CAN:
• Find job help, homeless shelters, free food pantries, healthcare, crisis support, drop-in centers, legal assistance, education resources, government benefits, public transportation, and more.
• Legal assistance, education resources, government benefits, public transportation, and more.
• Call domestic violence shelters, sex trafficking hotlines, mental health services, crisis and suicide prevention hotlines.
• Search for programs that serve your age, gender or region of the county.
