I have used the debut app for my final year in university for the purpose of hekping me find a graduate job. i am pleased to say debut has helped me secure a graduate job with DHL. their customer service is great, you can track your application and it makes you feel special when you recieve emails and updates of REAL recuriters that want to help you. I have been first to recieve updates in regards to general events (i.e. capgemini womens event, google) which i have been successful in attending which led to me networking with graduate recruiters and securing me an interview with graduate recuriters. Debut also fufilled the promise in giving £50 either cash or voucher if you secured a job with their app! This £50 went towards my first train ticket to my first graduates networking event with DHL. Thank you debut!! So much better than indeed or reed as it is soley for students
Thanks to Debut I’ve been able to secure my dream job in a very competitive market. I would definitely recommend the app to any undergraduates/graduates looking for suitable roles. The app is so easy to use and has many different opportunities in a vast range of sectors which are constantly added to and developed. I was able to secure my dream job from a talent spot. The talent spot feature is most definitely the highlight of the app because you can be invited to apply by a company/firm or even be invited directly to assessment centres without submitting an application form or receive invites to exclusive employer events. I cannot thank the founders enough for making the job search and recruitment process so simple yet innovative and suited to our times. 100% recommend!
I spent about 3-4 hours on this app and while I love the concept and the articles, the rest of the app is not particularly functional. This is because of how laggy it is. I have a new iPhone 8 Plus (but not so new that it’s doing background set up actions eg camera roll stuff), nothing open and not on power saving mode. I’ve never had issues like this with any other more resource intensive app. Then why does it lag even when doing the personality test - seemingly the least resource intensive activity of all?! This makes anything timed beyond annoying and frustrating. The same applies to the two unity games from Deutsche Bank and EY. Great ideas! Fun implementation! But the general experience just feels unfair when it takes 5 seconds for a challenge to load (EY game) but once it is loaded the timer goes from full to empty in 3 seconds. Same with the Deutsche Bank game, whereby you accidentally repeat a challenge because it managed to let you know you lost and registered your click as the replay button, before you even realized you lost! Even the initial form for your credentials doesn’t feel as smooth as it should. Overall, it feels like a simple software optimization problem that is locking me out from enjoying the rest of the app. Please fix it!
