We have changed location temporarily and all of the times are now wrong! The app noticed the time zone change (from US central to US eastern) but instead of changing one hour, it changed 54 minutes. 8:00 became 8:54. That does not make any sense. Our school has three different schedules on different days, one with 9 periods. I can edit it, but will have to do it again when we go back to our home time zone.
New update says it supports changing time zones. I won’t know until January if that is so. Upping to 4 stars until then. 5 if it works! Thanks!

Update: The developer responded to me quickly and also updated the app within 1 day! Wow! Works great and I am able to use the chime I chose. Great app. Thanks so much for the quick response and update. Best online school schedule app. I use the app for both of my children’s schedules. One is in high school and the other in middle school. They have 3 different schedules and 9 classes in one week. This app helps them check into their appropriate remote classes on time. Kids are in remote learning due to the schools closing because of the increase cases of COVID-19 in my state.
This app has been very helpful at helping my kids check in their online classes on time. The different tones are great. Only problem I have with this app is you can’t get app support. Their website for support is confusing and I can’t contact them for support. Also, since the last updated, the chime you choose doesn’t work. It plays only the default chime. When you choose the chime you want and save it, it still plays the default chime when the alarm goes off.

Now that we are social distancing in the US and many kids are having school at home, there is a need for a way to keep track of subjects on which kids should be working and when virtual students have live sessions with teachers. This makes it easy to multitask as a parent working from home while ensuring my child is also on task.
What would make this even better is if there were an easy way to share schedules between parents. Add a feature to import and export the schedule.
About School Chimes
This app is a basic alarm with scheduling capabilities. If you wish to use a school chime inspired by the Westminster Quarters, this app can fulfill your request. In Japan, the school chime is commonly used to signal the beginning and end of class periods.
Settings:
- Schedule Check: This feature allows you to check chime times with a list.
- Schedule: You can choose a schedule, create a new schedule, and modify an existing one.
- Chime Type: Select the tone or chime type.
- Display Notifications: When turned off, notifications will only include sound.
- Chime Test: Use this to ring the selected chime.
- Information (i button): This section provides information about the app.
URL Schemes:
1. ON/OFF
(Format) sc://a/b/c
- a: on or off. If set to off, the following items (b, c) are invalid.
- b (optional): schedule number, with the top of the list (Default) being 0.
- c (optional): tone number, with the top of the list (Westminster 1) being 0.
Example:
- Start with Default and Westminster 2: sc://on/0/1
- Stop: sc://off
2. Add a schedule
(Format) sc://add/a/hhmmb/... (repeat, max 64 times)
- add: constant
- a: schedule name
- hhmm: time in 24-hour format
- b: description
Example:
- Add a “Test” schedule: sc://add/Test/0800Start/1200Noon/1700End
If your iPhone doesn't read the URL scheme correctly, try converting spaces to %20 and commas to %2c.
