I can easily beat this game at the highest difficulty level almost every time. It makes really dumb moves even at that level. Connect 4 game has been solved, which means that it is possible to write a game app where the computer will be 100% guaranteed to draw or win every single time, but apparently the developer of this particular game app is too dumb to know how to write such an impossible-to-beat game. Yes, I know that such a game will not be that fun to play, but it can be written so that it is impossible to beat only at the highest difficulty level. I happen to know what the solution of Connect 4 is, so I’m tempted to write a Connect 4 game app myself, to basically show all the human players out there what it feels like to never be able to win at this game when playing against the computer, if they are arrogant enough to select the highest difficulty level. I would, of course, also have lower difficulty levels in that game to make it fun to play, but again, it would be impossible to beat at the highest difficulty setting, to give the human players a REAL challenge, if they are bold enough to try that level. The more I think about the design of that game, the more ideas I’m getting about how to implement the lower levels to make them more or less difficult to win, so that they will be truly fun to play. Anyway, enough about my potential future plans. Back to this game that I’m reviewing. It stinks because it is too easy to beat.
Good game
This is a fun game. They have other versions of the same game without the flashing ads. If I could remove those flashing ads I would play this version only. I wonder why MOBIRIX doesn’t sell add free subscriptions. I’d pay the money!
