Liveuamap

I’ve used Liveuamap since 2018. For the first few years it was good, then near the start of the Ukraine war, it went to garbage. The information started to become less and less accurate, with most of the information being from state media on twitter. Sometimes they will report that ‘Ukraine has repelled an attack’ in areas that Ukraine hasn’t controlled for days, as evident by Ukrainian sourced videos with geolocation! I would recommend laying off of the state run media and maybe broaden your horizons and pay more attention to sources in the ground/geolocate things for yourself. The ads became a thing; I understand, company has to make money. But the ads have become quite frequent, and I would pay a one time fee to get rid of them but subscription is absolutely ridiculous for the quality of this app. Lastly, the map has had issues for a long time, issues with zooming out not working, and the colors showing territorial control being messed up.

The information provided is good/up to date with what is going on. I liked the different tags/labels. However, the app is pretty buggy and not user friendly. It often freezes, forcing me to close the app in order for it to work again. It is also very slow sometimes. The ad at the bottom covers a button, so I cannot see what it says nor click on it. If these issues were fixed, I would gladly give it a five star review.

As the title says, this app in its current state is HORRIBLE. Constantly gets stuck when pinching to zoom so that if you try to move the map it just zooms in and out even without continuing to pinch. The news feed is constantly behind whats on the website, sometimes taking up to 12 hours to update. The ads are absolutely intrusive but thats to be expected these days and trying to manually refresh the news feed never works. I have to close the app completely and restart it to get the news feed to update. I really wish this app worked because I enjoy the flow of information provided as well as the interactive map. One of my favorite websites to check for information on conflicts in the world but the app deserves 0 stars. Maybe if they spent more time working on functionality and QA testing their own app instead of trying to get you to toss 3 bucks their way to get rid of ads the app would actually be functional.
