SuperScore Music

My first experience with Superscore was the immediate sensation of connection. I would be able to connect to a score without distraction. I was delighted to be led through, note by note and chord by chord, by a most patient teacher. The software is a pleasure to use. Its visual component is first rate with the marvelous feature of pinch to zoom scaling which relieves the strain of parcing chords or discerning complex phrases. I love it. Superscore is tops.

Let me first state that I may be biased because I publish on SuperScore, but due to that I am also very familiar with it. It has very helpful features, such as zooming in and out, changing the tempo, choosing which instruments or vocals play back, making annotations, good instrument sounds, and more. The selection of music available for purchase includes the catalogs of many publishers. The prices vary by publisher and piece and seem to be fair. It is frequently updated and the developer is very helpful. I rate it very highly.

I love the interactive feature which enables students to learn on their own. Many scores, even traditional classical pieces, include snazzy accompaniments which can also act as a metronome. I've seen my students' sense of rhythm, previously undiscovered, suddenly kick in when the accompaniment is turned on. With or without a connected digital keyboard, SuperScore greatly facilitates the learning and enjoyment of performing all styles of piano music.
