Been using this app for years now and just encountered my first glitch. The airport database needs to updated as BER/EDDB is not on the list. The app can not properly update any trips that are flown into and out of BER/EDDB. I have to choose TXL/EDDT for these trips but make a note that the actual airport was BER/EDDB. Additionally, while attempting to submit feedback through the app, I was unable to select the “submit/send” button. Separately, while attempting to submit feedback through the App Store website link, I received an “phishing” warning for the link. I hope this review finds its way to the developers. The developer reached out and I revisited the airport database to search for BER. Brandenburg appeared but as SXF. Subsequently the database self corrected and EDDB became BER. I thank the developer for reaching out and providing additional means of contact for app support.
Been using this app since the beginning and really happy it’s still being supported by people who want it to stay mostly the same. While I miss being able to import my schedule, that was never a “core feature” and I’ve been prepared for it to be removed or monetized for some time. For those who don’t need to import data, the app is completely usable without paying the minimal subscription. It can simply replace a paper log and allows for exporting for import to robust computer based logbooks. With a little effort, schedules can be manually entered in advance so the app can function both as a log and schedule reference which allows it to do rest calculations. On that last note, the app still needs a slight fix with rest calculations when schedule changes are entered (reassigned to push the edge of FDP) since that’s exactly when I need help. All in all, very happy with this app!
I’ve got flights in here back to 2008. It’s wonderful, particularly for looking at past trips. They layout is the best out there. Yes, it needs work. I understand that’s coming. Lots of whining about the subscription fees. Deal with it. You’re pilots, you can afford it. The app languished for years after the original developer retired, before the new folks bought it. They’re working hard to make it an updated, modern app - and I don’t expect them to work for free. *I* don’t work for free. You shouldn’t either. So I’m happy to pay a couple of bucks a month to see what comes of this app that has been on my phone longer than any other - and that I paid $20 for some 15 years ago. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes. The other affordable app is really useful, but really ugly. They badly need some competition. Let’s give it to them.
The App was designed as a supplement to (not replacement for) your complete Flight Data archive. iLog is a handy method to enter & access your flight...
