Idle Junkyard: City Builder

Very basic, non complicated game. Love playing this when I get the chance especially when I’m bored. I do wish we could build a city instead of having levels we lose with the exact same concept, something we can drive around in and see all the progress we’ve made. The bigger the project the bigger the price and more material and higher level junk. Maybe eventually doing an entire country or state depending on how many Devs there are. But it’s really fun nonetheless. Spent so much time on it I’ve reached the end and am awaiting more levels

This game starts out fun. You run a skid loader and a truck, clear lots of junk and build houses. It doesn’t take too long before you realize they want really want your money (surprise, surprise) as the playfield is littered with offers to bypass steps in the game for cash from buying materials to paying cash to build a house. (Why you would want to do pay to circumvent the game like this; oh wait. Money.) In the first tier you “build” two houses. The play money you’ve earned, you invest in all the factories, (why you’re forced to invest in factories you don’t own I don’t understand, but the materials are free, so…) the faster you get materials, and how many you can have on standby when you come back to get more. You also spend play money that you’ve earned to upgrade your skid loader, so the magnet is stronger to pick up more junk per load, the skidders speed, etc. Same for the truck. Play money is spent to upgrade its speed and capacity. Just when things are rolling along good and you finish building your last house, you start in the next area only to realize you’re starting over from the beginning. All your investments in your equipment and factories are GONE. Then it’s rinse and repeat. Personally, it’s only good for the first two houses, then you start over with nothing to show for all the play money you earned and spent, as you are starting over with the same scenario, but just more expensive. Started playing The second area, saw what it did, (basically reset the game), got annoyed, wrote this review, then did nothing, as I’m still playing it. For now.
