I have added all my movies to this app! It helps me so much when I'm out and about shopping and I happen to see a movie that catches my eye, I can look to see if I have it 😃 I have been adding all my movies to binders to get rid of all the cases ( so much more room)!! But when I started to add my movies to this app, I found out that I have multiples of a few movies. Oops 😬 a Tip if you need binders they have some on Temu 400 count but if you don't need that many they have fewer ones. I got a couple one to replace one that is falling apart. they are so adorable!
Not a bad app for the free version. The biggest issue is mostly the insane way people scan and title their entries. Be careful adding pre-listed entries before saving as an incorrect title will list it out of order. The barcode scanner is nice, but you only get 10 free scans before being prompted to pay for the full version of the app. With a little patience and careful study of how titles were arranged, I was able to manually add my own listings (1002 titles) in a matter of a few days. As I’m serious about collecting (again, over 1,002 titles), and this free app has been helpful in helping my arrange and keep track of which movies -vhs/dvd/Blu-ray- I have and don’t yet have. The downsides are enough to stop me from paying for the full version. Limited barcode scanning, no editing abilities past initial entry, the inability to sort by genre, and the high price tag for basic editing functions. The upside to the free app is there appears to be no limit on how many titles I can add. And as I said, the initial manual entry process is the only time you can make correct entries for proper sorting. I do recommend this app if you have the patience to go through a data entry process. UPDATE: After using this app for more than a year, I was greeted with a migration message to sign up for an “iCloud Sync” account. And have been locked out of my list. With 1,843 titles now listed and lost, I’ll have to start over again. The old way still works best: pen and paper. I will continue to curate my collection the way I did before this useless app. Another example of putting too much faith in the intangible. One day, it’s just gone.
I use this app for cataloging my large VHS collection. I have almost 3,000 VHS listed on this app. I really like that I can take a picture of my tapes and enter tapes that may not have barcodes. All in all, a pretty easy app to use. However, a bad flaw in this app is that it randomly deletes entries. The point of using this app is to have easy access to my list so I don’t buy a tape I already have (when you reach the 2,000 mark, you will forget what you have) and to help me organize my tapes by allowing me to look up a tape to see where it is in the house. A major flaw in my opinion. Also, some of the data under the entries cannot be deleted after another user fills in the information. For example, if someone marks the tape as being subtitled, you cannot mark it otherwise. A small problem, but it would be nice if all of the data under the entries were fully customizable. I only run into this problem when I scan the barcode on a VHS and there is already an entry for it by another user. So an easy workaround is to just manually enter the tape without the barcode information, although it’s kind of inconvenient. Overall, I find the app pretty easy to use but it does have a lot of bugs.
