HT200

I have been using the Autel HT200 for three years now, but today after my phone paired with the HT200, it said the device is locked and couldn't be unlocked until a 'review' was finished. No information as to why. No information as to how long this would take, No number to call, No e-mail to send to; they just decided that I can't use this tool that I bought. That was not a happy exercise either. You pay for the hardware, then you pay for the specific modules you need at $30 a pop. This started out as a racket and now they are cinching the noose tighter.

I was thrilled to find an inexpensive product that could connect to my Maserati and clear the oil maintenance light (which usually the dealer would have to do) and have a ton of other features, but I go to use it one day after a couple weeks and I can’t get it to connect. Not sure where the issue is coming from but they need to get it together. My phone has been connected to this before and still connects to everything else I use bluetooth for, but all I get with the device is a green light indicating that it’s not connected to my phone. Bad $50 long term investment.

I had trouble with the module bc it wouldn’t update so I was unable to use it. I was on version 0.0.6v on the Bluetooth piece and there was an update for 1.5v I believe. But anyways my phone as many times as I tried, wouldn’t update it. So in the end I got my older iPhone(iphone 7) and downloaded the app HT200, the proceeded to make a personal hotspot off of my new phone(iPhone XS Max) and signed in with my account and connected it to the HT200 Bluetooth(using the iPhone 7). Once I established connection I was able to update the software and now everything works perfectly like when I had originally purchased it. Ps. I only used my hotspot to connect bc I couldn’t get a connection to my home internet from my driveway outside. I really hope this help so you don’t feel like you wasted your money!
