HitCheck: Cognitive Assessment

When I picked up my grandson from school he told me he fell from the monkey bars at lunch and landed on his head. He was complained of pain and was sent to the office, ice pack was provided for about 30 mins and he returned to class. He told me all he could think about was his HitCheck baseline on his cell at home that he was grounded from. We went straight home and took a follow up test, he had one red flag. Talked to his parents who were not notified by the school and decided to rest and retake the test next morning. He sent me the second test at 8 am, three red flags. Called a Right Eye provider, did a read, “doc said train wreck”, scored an aggregate of 15 out of 100, went straight to HBOT clinic Thursday afternoon. 1st treatment provided immediate relief from headache. Slept great Thursday night. Friday am took the HitCheck, 2 red flags. Went straight back to HBOT, it was suggested to return Friday 6 hrs after the AM HBOT for a 3rd HBOT. Last HitCheck test was beyond the original baseline test. What an assessment tool! We are educating the school system about our story.

I started playing tackle football when I was 6 years old and have applied the learnings from such a great sport to all aspects of my life. Even with this love of the game, I fear my children playing the sport because of all the concussions happening and the negative effect it has on your life.
