Saved me $500
I needed a backflow preventer replaced. I texted some businesses I found on Google and posted it on Hiurd. Even after the app fees, the best quote on the app was still more than $500 cheaper than what I found elsewhere. Guy came and did a great job! Very happy with how it turned out!

Works well.
I was able to get a small job at home (replace a broken bathroom exhaust fan) completed basically immediately after creating an account. I like: -The escrow function of the app holding the funds for payment until I agree the job is completed to my expectation -How more than one person can bid on my job so I get a competitive price -It doesn’t seem to price gouge the contractors This job got done faster and with more peace of mind (the escrow thing) than if I had tried FB marketplace. I will use it again.
