I love this app, as it has saved me countless hours of busy work. But there is a bug in the latest version that has rendered it useless and the latest version, with the bug fix, requires macOS 26 which my Intel based MacBook doesn’t support. Yeah, I could spend $5000 on a new MacBook, but you could also just maintain compatibility for those of us who aren’t prepared to buy new hardware. —— For what it’s worth, I did just notice that I still have v1.6.1 installed on my Mac and that v2+ has been available for 8+ months.
I didn’t realize how much Apple allows third parties to access App Store Connect. This puts Connect to shame with all of its capabilities. I’m so sick of Apple being lazy with updating Connect. For example, Apple has never implemented Passkeys to sign-in to Connect. My password manager expects it and I’m always struggling to sign-in. Helm bypasses this with the Connect apis. You can do almost everything when submitting your app to the App Store in helm. I rarely use Connect anymore. I think the biggest thing with Helm is the ai integration which helps optimize your metadata but overall Helm will use ai to do all of your App Store localization for your. That’s right, we now live in an age where ai can now translate your app to a bunch of different languages so you can have the furthest reach with your customer base. Game changer!
As a senior app developer, I know it can be a tricky and frustrating process to upload your app to the app store. It's only gotten more complicated over the years - betweeen mandatory app store screenshots and sizes, rules and regulations, and app reviews getting stricter - Helm seems to make it easy to figure out what you're doing wrong and how to fix it, all with a great user interface. Nice work! As a seasoned developer who doesn't feel the need for another subscription service, I will not be using Helm, but do reccommend the app for anyone starting out with iOS development or having general frustration with the submission process. Keep up the great work! Edit: Almost a year later, I’ve changed my review and updated from 4 stars to 5 stars, mostly due to the number of clicks it takes with Helm vs ASC to get an app into review. Helm automates a lot of the process for you, and I like not having to wait for ASC to load. Also, the TestFlight process on Helm has improved significantly, and lets be honest, we basically live on this page as developers.
