Hedy: AI Meeting Coach & Notes

I love this app! I have tried over a dozen paid AI transcriber / notetaker apps. Hedy is by far the best one I’ve used and now the only one I use. Incredible feature set. Rarely misunderstands. Mainly its names that are misspelled, which is easily corrected. As a tool it makes an incredible difference, saving a massive amount of time on follow-ups, with detailed summaries that can be shared, with full transcripts and the option to save session audio. You can set your own topics, pick from a drop down of meeting types, create saved custom Context with detailed AI prompts with instructions for capturing different meeting types. It’s a daily tool that delivers impressive ongoing value. And the features just keep improving. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

I have several AI tools and this is the BEST for recording meetings and summarizing them afterwards. The summaries are emailed immediately and are highly accurate. Plus you can run searches and queries against the recordings WHILE they are being made or afterwards, which is truly unique and useful. I would like to see the ability to GROUP recordings together and generate a global summary across the group as well as run searches against the group. This would be very useful to students who record all their lectures across an entire semester or business people attending a conference all day with several speakers or a multi-day conference. This additional feature would completely set Hedy apart from the other summary apps. I also prefer how Plaud automatically titles each recording and would like to see that in addition to the date and time listed that Hedy currently provides. Having name / recording title would make finding old recordings MUCH easier without having to re-title every recording.

This app is simply amazing at what it does, and I know of no other product like it in the market. Sure, there are plenty of note takers, but none of them (that I’m aware of) offer real-time actionable advice and coaching. Not sure how to contribute productively to a meeting with your higher-ups or freelance clients? Unsure what insightful questions to pose to your professor in class? This app has you covered: it provides insightful coaching and an interactive chat feature that draws on the context of what’s already been covered in the meeting, including what’s being conversed up to the present moment. And it’s blazing fast and accurate. OK, that’s all well and great, but what about the negative aspects? Well, a few months ago the app started failing to launch on my Mac, rendering it virtually useless. As you can imagine, I was not happy after having paid for the app. So I contacted the owner, Julian, and he offered support responses within less than 24 hours. It turned out that there was a bug based on outdated architecture that was causing the launch error, and I was less than pleased to find out I had been the only customer affected by this bug. This could’ve resulted poorly; however, Julian managed to push out an update with 48 hours that completely resolved the problem, and the Mac app has been working flawlessly ever since. It was hands-down one of the best customer experiences I’ve ever encountered. So, in spite of the temporary bug, I have nothing but praise for Julian and his awesome creation. The innovative app is updated frequently, and I’ve incorporated it into my meeting workflows without hesitation. Lifetime customer here, and I highly recommend you try it out for yourself.
