Headphones & Speaker connect +

So I bought my earbuds about a year and a half ago, and I loved them. I hadn’t used them in a bit, and got a new phone. Tried adding the ap, and they want me to pay for it. I literally just wanted to see basic information on my earbuds. I don’t need another dang music service but r any other nonsense. MASSIVE L by Sony on this one. Won’t buy any more of their products because of this.

I downloaded the app because I read that it can control volume, noise cancellation etc for Sony earbuds WF-1000XM3. After starting app, it connects to earbuds. There are no functional controls or settings for the app. The setting button has choices for upgrading ($$$) but no choices for earbud function. After connecting, almost all buttons including the one that says it is connected to my device ask only for $$$. PS. I deleted the app, downloaded again and still it does nothing but ask for $$$. I expect a developer response that sends pity for my dissatisfaction and says that $ charges are so Sony can keep making great products. Why not start with this abysmal product?

I can connect really well and control the music and do everything that is saying I got you’d tune
