Love Hayu and love the content, but the app is not only slow to react but it keeps glitching and suddenly I’ll hear the audio of the episode starting from the beginning 2+ times laid over the sound of the episode at whatever point I’m at. The app also doesn’t allow for episodes to flow into one another easily. It would be nice to be able to skip to the next episode in the episode before the end. Like Netflix and most other streaming sights being able to see the episode guide, next episode button and skipping forward all In the player, as closing the episode and skipping etc is so slow as the app lags. And glitches a lot. Another issue is really hard to continue watching from your last place - eg if I’ve skipped a season or episode, it keeps trying to force me to start from the beginning of the series or rewatch. The accessibility is also not great, there is not enough margin around buttons, the app is harder to navigate as you have to scroll down or hunt to find what you’re currently watching. And subtitles and audio description is not available or when it is it lags Also so so many unskipable almost minute long adds is highly annoying when I'm already paying for the service

Any and everything triggers Hayu to start playing whatever episode you have paused in background. For example, if I watching something and someone calls me, it will briefly pause then when I answer the call it triggers it to play. Same way if I have to call someone quickly when I initially press the call button, it pauses then starts playing again out of nowhere. If I try to send a voice note and the app is paused on an episode, me sending a voice note will trigger it to play. If I don’t pause and simply try to send a voice note (any and every other kind of media will automatically pause) this dumb app will trigger to play at me starting a voice note. If I take my AirPods out it pauses then just starts playing again. It seems to happen ALL the time. I cannot just keep an episode paused for convenience because it will just erratically play either with stupid triggers or just randomly. TO MAKE IT WORSE now the app has started playing the audio of a previous episode over the one I’m watching randomly. Mostly if I pause it, have to do something on my phone quickly then try go back to the app to play. Even when I have closed the app, no episode been playing for ages, once I open the app to begin watching something, old audio plays!!! So weird. Really need to sort it out n do better because I love the content but the app and it’s audio /play/pause problem genuinely makes me want to smash my phone into tiny little pieces and light them on fire :)

I was super exited to get this app as it is right up my street, there is an impressive amount of content (although it doesn’t look like any new series are ever introduced) and it’s super reasonable for the price. From day 1 of having this app I’ve had nothing but problems, I downloaded it for my fire TV stick and the app regularly logs me out, which wouldn’t be so annoying if it wasn’t like performing brain surgery to re register my device (yes, you have to ‘register’ your device every time the app logs you out). This cannot be done on the app itself so I have to go online and log in on the website which is eerily reminiscent of the Bletchley Park Codebreakers the amount of digits your expected to put in just to watch The Real Housewives. The app also doesn’t remember where I left off in a series which is pretty crucial for getting people to return to the app, it’ll either not recognise that I have watched half of the episodes I have/ they won’t show up under the ‘where you left off tab’ or it’ll remember every single episode I’ve watched and clog up the page. The online site isn’t without its problems as every time I try to log in because the app has kicked me out the password box doesn’t work. I am paying you monthly for an app that isn’t functional and quite frankly doesn’t work at all so please sort this out as the content is great.
