I recently paid for this app, though I have used it for many years and may have paid for it before with my old phone. I liked its simplicity over the “services” offered by other apps. From the last update, my habit data is gone. It forced me through an onboarding survey and then prompted me for a subscription. The “Restore Purchases” button doesn’t help. The developer’s website and support links go to a long neglected “Twitter” account, and I’m not on X, anyway, to contact them for any hope of restoring my lost data. I haven’t yet labored to re-enter all of my lost habits, so I don’t know whether the functionality I paid for will still work—if it doesn’t, I will notify Apple of fraud. I have strongly recommended Habitty to friends in the past—I cannot do so after this update. UPDATE: I cannot add more than one habit. It prompts for payment. “Restore Purchases” reports “no purchases found. I will contact Apple.
I just started using the app and the use of 5 days in the wrong order is really off-putting. It would be infinitely better to have all 7 days and in order so I can see the week’s progress. I do not understand the 5-day week that shifts depending on what day it is. Make it start on Sunday or Monday and not move days. Also, a check mark instead of an X would feel more like you completed it, and like someone else said, a short phone vibration when you tap to check it off would feel more official and rewarding. Just some suggestions but very much recommended for better user interaction.
I like that this app allows me to see 5 days worth of progress on all habits on the main screen. Tapping on each habit shows monthly and annual progress, which helps motivate one to keep up with the habit. Overall, I love the simplicity and intuitive nature of the app. In terms of aesthetics, a 7-day streak on the main screen (instead of 5 days) would be ideal. Also, checkmarks are good, but filled in bubbles with sound effects would be better and more rewarding. Likewise, on the monthly/yearly view, filled in bubbles (instead of open circles) would be more aesthetically pleasing. Other than these minor personal preferences, this app is far better than most habit tracking apps for its simplicity and intuitive interface.
