If you have seen an ad for this game, then donโt waste your time downloading it. First of all, you spend more time watching ads than playing the game. This game looks fun, and at first it kind of is, but that quickly fades as you are bombarded with ads constantly. The sole purpose of this game is to generate ad revenue, not entertain anyone. Yes, you could pay to have the ads removed, but since this is an in-app purchase, this is not shareable to other family members. It certainly isnโt worth the $3.99 price-tag. Secondly, you have to complete 4 โstagesโ or maps to advance to the next level. If you die on any stage before you advance to the next level, you start at the beginning of that level again. The stages are always random, and there are only a small handful of different stages. You very quickly play through all of these and start recycling them. This is another reason why it is not worth the money to remove the advertising. In the end, it just gets boring very quickly seeing the same stages over and over and the constant ads. I do not recommend.
The game is amazing, but the only thing that would make the game better would to add some skins. You could put like random coins on the grass so the saw can pick them up. The skins would do nothing but make you look better. They would be in like a saw machine and you paid like 100 coins to spin it once and you would get a random skin. Another way you could get coins is completing levels the would give you like 10 coins a level you beat. Another thing you should add is different flowers that would have different abilities. Thereโs always the purple one gives you a fever but you should be able to get a yellow one that makes your saw spin faster or something like that. So developers please make this change to your amazing game.๐๐๐๐.
I downloaded this app from one of those annoying mobile ads designed to look like social media posts. They often follow the format: โIf you get to *this* level or unlock *this* thing you are LEGALLY skilledโ or โso much harder than it looksโ. You probably know the like. I usually ignore these ads, and game ads in general, but this game in particular looked like it could be a good offline way to pass the time, like on a plane or as a passenger in a long car ride, so I gave it a try. Instant regret. While the gameplay is exactly as it appears in the ad, the game lags incessantly and at times makes it impossible to play. This is not something I would expect from a game with simple graphics and even simpler gameplay and controls. No other app on my phone has performance issues remotely like Grass Cut. It should be standard to expect that a game as basic to develop as this one should run smoothly. Instead, it frequently freezes, dips to atrocious frame rates, and heats up my phone to hot-pocket temperatures. Perhaps the biggest issue with this game, and one Iโd expect is common among similar games that boast the โannoying mobile adโ designation, is the sheer quantity of in game advertisements. Iโm talking 30 seconds of advertising for every 15-20 seconds of gameplay. This doesnโt include the permanent ad border at the bottom of the screen. The mammoth quantity of ads may also be the culprit for the performance issues I discussed earlier. This app was clearly designed to be a money grab with low-budget design and programming, where the money spent on advertising most likely dwarfs the cost of development. The sad thing is that if the developers limited the amount of ads to an acceptable level, I, and likely many other players like me, would have played this game for much longer and eventually would have seen many more ads in the long run.
