GPTKit - AI Text Detector

This app knew I pasted a passage from ChatGPT and still said it was written by a human. An AI spotting app is desperately needed but this app isn’t it.

I tested this app on three AI generated texts and one 100% human text. The three AI paragraphs, one creative, one informative, and one personal, all scored 85% fake - a decent amount of accuracy. The human text scored a 100% real. I am satisfied with this app.

The concept is of course a necessary one but unfortunately this little app isn’t up to the task yet. I put in a 100% chatGPT written poem and the app told me it was 100% likely to have been written by a human. Either AI has now successfully passed the Turing test and the singularity is at hand or this app isn’t effectively engineered to adequately judge the AI by using AI against itself. I lean toward the latter but hope that it improves quickly.
