Goods Match 3D is a match-3 game, where the single player is presented with shelves where common items you would find in a grocery store are displayed. Player must put 3 exactly matched items on the same shelf so that they will disappear from the gameplay. Player’s goal is to clear all the shelves until no groceries remain, before the timer runs out and the game is considered player lost if even a single item remains on a shelf. I enjoy that it keeps my mind busy, while giving me a challenge. Game play must be carefully strategized so that you don’t run out of empty space to sort your groceries, or the clock finishes with items remaining on the shelf, which would mean player must play the level again in order to move forward to the next level. I don’t know why developers don’t make these with an untimed mode for seniors like myself who have brain injury or other challenges, making fast gameplay very unlikely for me to complete.
I don't like frantic games, where one is constantly fighting the clock or rapidly moving pieces, or rapidly increasing levels of difficulty. I don't like being pushed around by software - I prefer to choose how fast I want to move. I salute Willis Gibson for beating Tetris, but not my sort of thing. Trying to play timed games around cats is also trying. They hate the silver thing (my computer) that I stare at, and it's hard to ignore them. Sure, I could shut myself in a room, but I have a low tolerance for little bodies being hurled against the door. Apparently, I am not alone, since I constantly see games advertised as relaxing, which they usually aren't, and they are also not ad-free, whatever the ad said. This really is relaxing - the player just arranges the little items the items on the shelf, and the game persona is a cat, so what's to complain about? This has ads, but they are just little pictures arranged around the screen, and unless the player clicks on them, they don't intrude. I do wish that there was a way to close the game.
I love that I don't have to use the timer. It's more relaxing that way. I wish I could point and click tho. Dragging with only the trackpad on my laptop is not easy.
