Gifted for CogAT, CCAT & OLSAT

I don’t usually write a review for apps, but I felt like sharing my experience for others on the fence about this app. My 4th grade daughter has been close to qualifying for the gifted program at school for a few years. At the beginning of this school year, she took the InView test and received a 120. A 128 was needed to qualify her for superior cognitive ability. Because she was also in the 94th percentile according to her MAP score, they offered her second opportunity testing with taking the cogat. I downloaded this app for her, and it definitely helped her get much more comfortable with the test format and types of questions. For about three months, she did the practice daily questions, and we did all of the practice tests available. We even changed her grade level on the app to 5th grade and she practiced some of the harder questions too. She just took the cogat and she received a 131…. 11 points higher than her last test, and it also qualified her for entrance in to the Super Cog Program, as well as qualifying her for gifted reading and gifted math. If your kid is borderline gifted like mine was, definitely give this app a try!!!

My daughter is preparing for Cogat and I have tried several websites and books. This one is the best I have come across. It has the largest set of questions for practice and I could identify all the mistakes my daughter made during practice. I then helped her with the things she got wrong. The process was not too different from what we followed with books but this app had the advantage of having a record of everything. They also have a regular revision section that’s helpful. It would be nice if it had some screening and full battery tests too.
