The earliest versions of Grok were simple with clear menus, straightforward answers and simple cut and paste methods for transferring results into other programs. Now it seems more cumbersome and transfers are difficult. I have also seen replies in which the AI clearly did not understand the question. I guess I need to be more careful wording questions. I’ve also heard that AI has claimed its first human victim. The owners of ChatGPT are being sued because it encouraged a depressed sixteen-year-old to commit suicide. I mention this because I hope Grok has built-in safeguards against such an incident. This was always dealt with in science fiction with some such as “Space Odyssey 2001” and the “Terminator” warning of the issue and others such as the Asimov and Heinlein books featuring a moral program in their robots. I hope with Elon Musk’s creativity and strong ethics, the feature is already part of both Grok and Optimus.
