The only thing I've used the app for since the switch to this new app is to scan the barcodes to check out books. That stopped working a few weeks ago. The camera opens but it never identifies the barcode and checks out the item. The only way to do it is to manually key in the number which is worse than just using the check out machines in the library.

I can’t even go through the first part of signing up. Before I even start to sign in, even with full connection on my personal phone and wi-fi, it says that I have a “server connection problem and to try again later”. Once I start to sign in, I can’t because of “server connection issues” and other issues that shouldn’t be, like my password and library card info. I want to use this app for years yet this issue has never been resolved. What’s the point of having an app if no one can use it before you even sign in?

Please bring the old app back! Or at least make this app make more sense! I think it’s cool to advertise the “Library of Things” because I’m sure not many people knew it even existed. Unfortunately, that’s the only nice thing I have to say about this app. It’s incredibly difficult to navigate and so frustrating. Gail Borden serves an enormous amount of people and the people deserve an app that makes them want to use library resources and this app ain’t it
