FretGenius: Fretboard Trainer

Finally found an app that just helps me learn where notes are the fretboard. And it feels like it’s helping me to do my best.

It’s worked well for getting me up to speed. Not so good for mastery. It needs a feature where you can drill on notes that are doing poorly in your heat map. I’d like to see it prioritize those notes when doing a full board drill, rather than keep bringing up the notes you’ve already mastered. Throw those in periodically, but the focus should be mastery of your weaknesses once you reach the full board.

Just got the app, and there are no purchases required! App offers note practice along the entire neck with some adaptive learning stuff and stats of your performance (like note heat map - which notes take you longest to figure out). My only feedback is that the app only quizzes you on the natural notes on the neck, no sharps or flats and there is no setting to enable accidentals. However I do think that learning the natural notes first is pretty good regardless.
