This is an excellent alternative to Pocket. It works seemlessly across iOS, MacOS, and iPadOS. It is well worth the small cost and each update makes it better. After one year, my opinion hasn't changed. Flyleaf is a very useful tool for a very low price. Updates are frequent and largely new features or refinements versus bug fixes. I know there are plenty "Pocket like" apps out there and more browsers have integrated similar features, but Flyleaf is simply, intuitive, works seamlessly and syncs instantly across devices. The biggest positive is that you can use it...just pick it up and use it. There's no learning curve. I put it on my mom's iPhone. I said, "Here, build yourself a reading list and repository". Off she went. My 80 year-old mom started using it and never came back with a question.
Having used all the options offered by the now-defunct Pocket app and Instapaper on a professional basis every single day for about a decade, I should admit and be proud of my admission that I could never imagine what I was missing before I discovered FlyLeaf! So, I must have been so lucky or liked by the stars to be blessed with a gem of an app in a beloved field of mine whose true beauty and added values I do cherish and appreciate every time I save something on FlyLeaf or go back to it with the anticipation of a kid to delve and dive in the sheer pleasures the app creates for each item as an extra value it creates beyond the existential value birthed by the original author of the work. I remain indebted and grateful to the FlyLeaf team forever!
As both a former Pocket and Omnivore user, I was looking for a replacement that had most of what I wanted without the stuff I didn't. I compared a couple of apps and found a couple of articles that other apps I tried ended up missing a big chunk of stuff from, that Flyleaf handled perfectly. I like the look of the app and the customization options for paid subscribers. Overall great! My one request would be to please add bulk actions! It would be convenient to be able to archive, delete, favorite, or add tags to multiple things at a time, instead of having to long-press and update each individually. (E.g. I'm someone who sometimes adds more articles than I can reasonably ever read and I hit a point where I need to clean house every now and then)
