FlipStudio: Draw & Animate App

I like FlipStudio, i like how importing audio is simple and videos are able to be posted in the Gallery. I like how the onion skin has the options to change how it looks and the opacity, and how it’s a free app for beginners. I do NOT like how loading frames too quickly can get it to crash, not to mention how I’ve lost a speed paint and almost all the art with it, how accessing some audios will make it crash, and how it’s so buggy that I’ve had to let my tablet DIE TWICE just to get it working again. There are only three brushes, and the way they work can sometimes just change??? Like, I’ll zoom in and the line won’t curve. Or, I’ll zoom out and it’ll go back to normal only for me to go back to drawing and the lines refuse to corroborate again. People who get reported hardly get any form of punishment. If enough people report a video, then it’ll get deleted. But the acc that posted it would STILL BE UP. There’s a ton of other things that I’d have to say about this app, sometimes when people make new accounts, you just can’t follow them?? The max time to have a video be is 30 seconds, which is understandable, the game would probably crash if it was any longer- but come ON. DO YOU EVEN REMEMBER YOUR GAME?? If your just beginning, I’d say it’s pretty decent- the actual animation part of the app works pretty well for me and is pretty simple- the main appeal is being able to post, at least for me personally- i just really hope we get an update. That all this post was supposed to be about- PLEASE WE NEED AN UPDATE!! 😭

It is a fun app, but there are some MAJOR issues. For one, while i am animating, i will get kicked out, and loose some of my progress! It gets really annoying after a while. Another thing is the posting limit. Lets say i have an important announcement to make, nope, i have to wait 18 hours. Please either decress the time or just get rid of it. Another issue is zooming in, and lack of materials. We only get 3 materials excluding the paint bucket. Marker, pencil, and highlighter. Where is the airbrush, where is the blending tool, where is the paintbrush?!?! And zooming in doesnt even go in far. Lastly, i can not stand the community at times. This is a 4+ app, and there will be people yapping about s*x and stuff. Some crude humor is okay at times, but i have seen people get videos deleted for no reason, while there will be some who make the most inappropriate thing and it gets tons of likes and stays up. Outrageous . Most of this stuff can be fixed within one update, so i am begging you, please update!!! - Cupcake

Firstly, I noticed that the option to use only Apple Pencil doesn’t work. (I am not complaining about the ads because I turned off my WiFi) Secondly, you can’t zoom in very much, which is very annoying. Though, it is really cute, and it has some nice features that I haven’t seen in any free animation apps. I think the cute aesthetic helps with the stress that can come with animating, and it is inspiring me a little bit. I think that this would be awesome with more basic features. I feel like this is the opposite of flipaclip, where the free version of that has all of the basic features but FlipStudio has not all the basic features but ones that are more uncommon for an iPad animation app. So I think, if you want to get an app for starting out, getting out ideas quickly, and just something cute, do FlipStudio. It’s free, so there’s nothing to lose if you don’t like it. ♥️ have a good day and have happy animating!
